Harry Winston: Rare Jewels of the World
The House of Harry Winston presents its magnificent "Rare Jewels of the World" High Jewelry and Timepiece Exhibition in Shanghai, China. Open to the public from September 7 to 13, the new exhibition will present the House’s legendary stones, one-of-a-kind high jewels, archival treasures, and timepieces.
A Relationship Forged in the Forbidden City
In 1996, Harry Winston became the first jewelry house in the world to exhibit its masterpieces in the Forbidden City in Beijing. The exhibition showcased over 100 rare and finely crafted diamond jewels, including the Archduke Francois Joseph Diamond, an internally flawless 76.45 carat cushion-shaped diamond. Marking the House’s first time in China, the historic exhibition was only the beginning of a cultural exchange between Harry Winston and the people of China.
A connoisseur of diamonds from a very young age, Harry Winston was more than a jeweler-- he carried an innate knowledge of gemstones. He used his passions to become the King of Diamonds, assembling a collection of jewels in his lifetime that surpassed even royal houses.
The Winston Pink Legacy
Furthering its dedication to the world’s most exceptional gemstones, the House acquired the Winston Pink Legacy in November 2018. Celebrating the extraordinary beauty of one of the greatest diamonds the world has ever seen, the Winston Pink Legacy Ring features an exceptional 18.96-carat Fancy Vivid pink diamond center stone, framed by delicate diamond side stones.
Our Craftsmanship
Harry Winston’s innovative approach to craftsmanship made the House a high jewelry destination worldwide. He craved a style of jewelry that let the shape of each stone dictate the design of each setting, drawing inspiration from the world around him. Today, the House continues this legacy, allowing exceptional gemstones to inspire bold, distinctive designs that honor their natural beauty.
